Who We Are

Chadwick Prep is a group of dedicated teachers and mentors who love helping students find their way academically. We focus on long-term goals, helping students acquire effective learning strategies, manage their time, and navigate the rigors of high school. We offer classes or one-to-one instruction in a pleasant, comfortable environment (free coffee, snacks, a study room, and the Chadwick Prep mascot, Nala!)

Chadwick Prep provides educational consulting to junior high, high school, and college students. We tutor in all high school courses and assist students with the application process for college, summer programs, and scholarships.



AP Test Prep

AP Test scores not only help students gain admission to college, many of our students have graduated university early due to AP credits. Chadwick Prep’s instructors teach knowledge, test strategies, and confidence. A vast majority of our students earn 4s or 5s on the exams.



ACT

Standardized tests significantly impact college acceptance rates. The University of Virginia, for example, accepts twice as many students who submit test scores compared to those who do not. Most Chadwick Prep students improve their scores by 33%.



College Admissions Counseling

As time progresses, the college application and admission process grows more and more complicated. At Chadwick Prep, we guide students to presenting their best possible profile, and write essays that enhance rather than diminish their chances of acceptance.

AP US History

Those who fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it. Every AP US History lesson has counterparts in the modern world. Come learn how to interpret the current American landscape by learning how the US became what it is today.

AP English Language

AP English Language is the only high school course to focus solely on non-fiction. Most students in their future careers need to write non-fiction text clearly, whether they become medical professionals, scientists, attorneys, computer experts, or a vast majority of other professions.

ALL standardized tests

Mr. Chadwick and his team have successfully helped students improve their scores for more than two decades. We take a very specific approach and instill in students the strategies that not only help them excel on the college admissions tests, but ALL standardized test in high school and college.

I have grown and learned significantly at Chadwick Prep. I will never forget this experience and would live through it all over again if I could. I started with Chadwick prep simply because I wanted some additional assistance in earning an excellent grade and AP score in my A.P. United States History class, but I soon realized how taking classes every week strengthened my study habits and reinforced a positive writing voice. Learning about American history with Chadwick helped me develop critical thinking skills, so much so that I wanted to continue working with him to craft and polish my college essays the summer before my senior year. I also consolidated my historical knowledge. My favorite part of your class is that you always explain the logic behind things. For example, you emphasized the importance of using active voice in the structure of "who did what", because that allows us to show our knowledge of history and earn points. Another example is that you point out over speculation as the underlying cause for almost all economic recessions/depressions. I am extremely proud of my improvements throughout the year.
