James Chadwick


Mr. Chadwick has tutored and mentored high school and college students for more than 25 years. Mr. Chadwick uses his knowledge of psychology, English, and test-taking to bolster students’ problem solving ability, giving them skills they will use the rest of their academic career. He helps students develop the skills that help them succeed in all their classes, not just the ones they come for help with. He is proud of all his students who find their niche, no matter where that is. Happiness is not a goal; learn to love the process!

Professor Hawk is an expert in helping students recognize their talents, hone their skills, and develop their writing identities. For 30 years, she’s successfully mentored countless students as a tutor and college professor. She actively writes and publishes her own work, which inspires her students to pursue a higher writing purpose. She has a talent for engaging students of all abilities and circumstances, guiding them toward a solid foundation upon which they can confidently build.

Professor Hawk


Dr. Hiew brings 10 years experience tutoring chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and math at both high school and college levels. He has taught chemistry courses at the University and community college level, and mentored high school students in COSMOS. He believes in honoring commitments, striving for authenticity, and working with a team mentality (we’re all in this together, whether we realize it or not!) Remember to enjoy the journey.

Stanley Hiew

Todd Haney


Dr. Haney has been teaching in the sciences at Sage Hill School since 2005. He holds a doctorate in evolutionary biology and ecology from UCLA. Centered on the learning experience of each student, Dr. Haney teaches courses ranging from AP Biology and AP Environmental Science to Marine Science and Human Anatomy and Physiology.

Amy Kwak

Amy is an upcoming senior at Irvine High School with a strong academic background in math. She scored a 5 on both the AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics exams and maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout all three years. She also won a heritage award in her calculus class. Since her junior year, she has been tutoring and finds joy in helping others excel in their classes. Her students are now top performers, reflecting her passion for helping others succeed.
